Grand Opening of the New Poulsbo City Hall

Poulsbo’s new city hall opens for business today, with a grand opening ceremony scheduled for 5 pm on Wednesday, November 17th. According to the article in the Kitsap Business Journal:
After many years of planning and two years of construction, the new 30,000 square foot building will be open for business on Nov. 15. The building includes underground public parking spaces which will be open to the public 7 days a week, as well several green roofs and energy efficient features. The New City Hall will house Administrative Services for the Mayor’s Office, City Clerk and Finance Departments, Planning and Building Department, Engineering, Public Works and Municipal Court.
The Grand Opening Ceremony will begin at 5 p.m., with a tribal blessing of the building by the Suquamish Tribe, and presentation of the dedication plaque and time capsule. Ceremony speakers include Mayor Erickson, Councilmember Rudolph, Commissioner Bauer, Mayor Quade, and Mayor Bruce. The building will be open to the public for tours on Nov. 18 and 19, during normal business hours.
The citizens of Poulsbo are welcome and encouraged to attend.

PORT ORCHARD — By the end of the year, Kitsap County will have a comprehensive trail plan outlining routes for walkers, cyclists, and even equestrians from the south end of the county to trails already approved for North Kitsap. In essence it boils down to saying that difficulties with getting VA appraisals to come in at value are affecting many new construction home sales. This reflects the overall problems in the construction industry, the inability of home builders to compete on price with distressed property sales and a resale market that is still falling in price. Our experience in residential resale is that buyers of well priced homes are able to get VA financing.
